On October 10, 2025, to mark the opening ceremony of the Spitak VFR station, the Spitak VFRG and Rescue Service fire brigade organised a simulation exercise in Mets Parni locality, along with the Austrian Red Cross fire rescue expert.  

As part of a new initiative and a request to the EU to support the Volunteer Fire Rescue Groups through a France-Austria consortium, the First Counselor of the French Embassy in Armenia attended the inauguration and exercise.
