On 10th of October 2025, the Spitak Volunteer Fire Rescue Station was inaugurated in Mets Parni locality, Lore region. The building was granted by the Spitak community and refurbished with funding the VolFiRe project.
The ceremony was attended by officials from the Marz of Lore, locality of Mets Parni, Austrian Red Cross, Armenian Red Cross Society, Armenian Caritas and Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
As part of a new initiative and a request to the EU to support the Volunteer Fire Rescue Groups through a France-Austria consortium, the First Counselor of the French Embassy in Armenia attended the inauguration and exercise.
8 volunteers received their MIA Rescue Service certification during the ceremony, granted with MIA Rescue Service official rescuer passport, ID card and badge.
The inauguration was followed by an exercise involving the volunteers in a fire/rescue/first aid operation.
