On 5th of October 2025, the Noyemberan Volunteer Fire Rescue Station was inaugurated in Ptghavan locality, Tavush region.
The building was granted by the Noyemberan community and was refurbished with funding from the community and the VolFiRe project.
The ceremony was attended by officials from the community of Noyemberan, locality of Ptghvan, Austrian Red Cross, Armenian Red Cross Society and Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
As part of a new initiative and a request to the EU to support Volunteer Fire Rescue Groups through a France-Austria consortium , representatives from Expertise France attended the event.
14 volunteers received their MIA Rescue Service certification during the ceremony, granted with MIA Rescue Service official rescuer passport, ID card and badge.
The inauguration was followed by an exercise involving the volunteers in a fire/rescue/first aid operation.
