A final chapter of VFRG handbook has been added concerning the fundamental aspect of volunteer insurance.

Volunteers play a critical role in addressing the needs of the most vulnerable people, and should be provided with a legal framework and protection in order to carry out this vital work.

VFRG members, who must be registered as ARCS volunteers, are covered in Armenia by the Armenian Red Cross Society through the IFRC volunteer insurance scheme.
