On 24th of July 2026, the Vedi Volunteer Fire Rescue Station was inaugurated in Lusashogh locality, Ararat region. The building was built with funding from the Vedi community and the VolFiRe project.
The ceremony was attended by the Head of community of Vedi, Attache de Securtie of the Austrian Embassy in Armenia, Regional Head and Deputy Head of Rescue Service for Ararat region, Head of Vedi Rescue Service fire brigade and representatives of the locality of Lusashogh, the Austrian Red Cross and the Armenian Red Cross Society.
The inauguration was followed by a fire and rescue exercise in coordination with a crew of the Vedi Rescue Service fire brigade.
