On 28th of July 2026, the Vayk Volunteer Fire Rescue Station was inaugurated in Martiros locality, Vayot Dzor region. The building was built with funding from the VolFiRe project.
The ceremony was attended by the Head of community of Vayk, Regional Head and Deputy Head of Rescue Service for Vayot Dzor region, Head of Vayk Rescue Service fire brigade and representatives of the locality of Martiros and the Armenian Red Cross Society.
The inauguration was followed by a fire and rescue exercise in coordination with a crew of the Vayk Rescue Service fire brigade.
