“Firefighting in confined spaces” – 5 day specialised training – 24 Yerevan MIA Rescue Service officers – French Embassy in Armenia

The association ASPEBE and the French Embassy in Armenia organised from 29th of September to 3rd of October 2025 a 5 day training “firefighting in confined spaces” with two international instructors, Mr. Bernard Jannin (Austrian Red Cross fire rescue expert) and Mr. Maxime Jannin.

The training was developed based on lessons learned from the VolFiRe project during the ToTs and training sessions organised in communities with regional fire brigades from the MIA Rescue Service.

This is another achievement of VolFiRe, thanks to synergies established with other partners, namely the French Embassy in Armenia and the association ASPEBE.

We would like to thank the French Embassy in Armenia for its support in strengthening the capacities of the MIA Rescue Service firefighters and, consequently, the ARCS Volunteer Fire Rescue Groups (VFRGs).
